What the E.C. Row Expressway has divided, the parish priest at Our Lady of Perpetual Help plans to unite.
Rev. Maurice Charbonneau, better known as Father Moe, will hold an outdoor mass May 7 for the students, staff and parents at St. Christopher and Our Lady of Perpetual Help schools. The celebration, to mark education week, will draw more than 1,000 people.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help students usually walk next door to the church once a month for mass. St. Christopher students, separated from the church by E.C. Row Expressway, don't have that same opportunity, so Father Moe usually packs his guitar and goes to them.
