The Senior Boys Soccer Team played in the annual Essex Red Raider Tournament.  We entered two even strength teams and despite a combined record of 2 wins, 1 tie and 3 losses neither team was able to advance.  We hope the boys take this experience and learn from it.  Good effort.  There will be a practice outside at Gignac Park immediately after school today.

CCH cares for kidneys....

Catholic Central is proud to support our community!  We are hosting "Dunks for Dialysis" in our gym from 2-5 today in a friendly basketball game whereby our local doctors are playing against up and coming medical students to raise funds for the Dialysis treatment.

Medical students, Chris Kawla and Patrick Valcke, graduates of Catholic Central have returned to their high school  to play in today's game.

Mayor Eddie Francis was presented with an award for his support of the Kidney Foundation.

We are especially proud of Mike McKittrick, who was recognized for his continued support of the kidney foundation!

We wish both teams the best of luck!

Fwd: Monday

Last Saturday morning 4 of our design students took part in the Architectural Computer Aided Drafting competition at St. Clair College.
The design requirements and timeline were extremely difficult.
The task was to create a 1,000 sqft. cottage from scratch including floor plan and 4 exterior elevations. All drawings had to be to "working/construction" drawing standard. Our students did an excellent job and received praise from the College's judges. We took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. I am very proud of these 4 individuals.
If you see Kenneth Valerio, Allen Lui, Paul Paik and David Castro please congratulate them.

Architectural AutoCad Competition Winners Pics

1st, 2nd and 3rd Place at the C.A.D. Competition!

Designers of a Cottage take home Honours!

Saturday morning 4 of our design students took part in the Architectural Computer Aided Drafting competition at St. Clair College.

The design requirements (there were many) and timeline (2 1/2 hours) were extremely difficult.
The task was to create a 1,000 sq ft. cottage from scratch including floor plan and 4 exterior elevations. All drawings had to be to "working/construction" drawing standard.
This would be a daunting task for even a professional to complete.

Their final work was amazing to say the least.
The judges were blown away by the ingenuity, detail, creativity, and quality of their designs, not to mention their Auto CAD skills.

The students were so excited to be taking part in the competition...you could see it in their smiles!  They were proud of themselves.
If you see Kenneth Valerio (1st place), Allen Lui (2nd place), Paul Paik (3rd place) and David Castro please congratulate them!

OFSAA Silver Medal Winners

Congratulations to our Senior Boys Basketball Team for winning Silver at the OFSAA tournament!  The boys were so close to winning the whole tournament, they lost by a heartbreaking 53-50 score.  Throughout the tournament they played amazing basketball, winning games by at least a 20 point spread.  Our team can up against a home crowd team with more experienced players.  The boys never gave up and fought hard until the end of the game!

The support of the whole community is much appreciated.  So many people came to buy pasta on our Pasta Fund Raising Night.   It is wonderful to belong to such a caring community.

Our OFSAA Wrestlers!

Congratulations  to Richard Aoun and Motukal Said who both placed 7th and Majok Deng who placed 5th at OFSAA wrestling!

Here is a quote from Coach Mallen:

Our kids work hard and give 100% in their own quest for victory in spite of what resume their opponents have. We are extremely proud of our 3 athletes for their performance and representation of Catholic Central at this years Ofssa Championships. Thank you to everyone for your support throughout the season.

Great work Coach Mallen and the Wrestling Team!
