Admission to the comic con is free to all Catholic Central students, and entry each of the video game tournaments is $2. Attention all students. Students looking to improve their math, science or English marks should see Guidance for a Summer School application. Students looking to earn up to two credits in co-op should make an appointment to see Mr. Cowan. A paying summer job can be used for co-op credits.

This year summer is free.

Senior girls soccer team battled Mother Nature and the Massey Mustangs in their game yesterday and came up short 2-1.  Erin Boutet scored a beautiful goal from just outside the 18 yard box while Jessie Miller and Krista LaGasse shared duties in net.  Great team effort ladies.  Meeting at lunch today in room 215 at 11:15pm.  Do not be late.

Our senior boys soccer team opened their season with a 0-0 draw to St. Joseph's. The boys meet the Mustangs of Massey tomorrow at 4pm at Massey.  Fans are more than welcome.  Meet in Mr.Fogal's room at 2:30 for practice, which may may be at a different location today.

Congratulations to Hannah Cho who finished 6th overall in the senior girls WECSSAA single championships, very proud of you Hannah.

Shaelynn Reaume knocked off a three year scoring drought by scoring two goals yesterday to help the Comets to a 4-0 win over the Kennedy Clippers.  Krista LaGasse and Dalia Farhat also scored for the Comets and Jessie Miller recorded her first shut out of the season.  Great team effort, it must be the tacquitos!

The Summer Jobs for Youth applications are now available. This program targets youth living in the N9A, N9B, N9C, N8R, N8T, and N8Y area codes. Applications are due by April 24th. For more information see the Guidance Dept.

For all graduating Gr. 12 students heading to a post-secondary school in September. The Phyllis E. Bradshaw, and Siro Martinello bursary applications are available in Guidance. The Bradshaw is due APRIL 30TH, while the Siro Martinello is due MAY 31ST. Please see Guidance for further details.


Fwd: Summer Volunteer Opportunity



This summer the John McGivney Children's Centre is planning to offer a recreational day camp for children who have physical disabilities. The age of the children attending the camp will range from 6 to 18 years old. Many of the children who attend the camp require one on one support to actively participate in camp activities. In order to run a successful summer program in which all campers are fully engaged, volunteer support is required.

The senior girls soccer team battled the weather and a feisty Purple Raiders team yesterday at the University and the game ended in a tie 1-1.  Dalia Farhat scored for the Comets while the D line of Tela Verrelli, Anna Diamante, Paige Rocca, Sierra Walls and Brianna Mitchell held their own.  great game ladies, practice tomorrow 240pm big gym.

The senior girls soccer team defeated Brennan 2-1 in a well played game yesterday.  Krista LaGasse and Dalia Farhat were the goal scorers.  A great team effort was displayed.  Today they are competing in the the Red Raider Indoor Tournament at the Novoletto.  Ladies please be dressed and ready to leave at noon, no exceptions.  Go Comets!
