Elf On the CCH Shelf

The Elf is on the Loose again at Catholic Central. Finding the Elf means holiday treats and prizes.

The Elf is hidden somewhere in the main building. It is not in a place that is out of bounds, or in a classroom that does not have a teacher present. In searching for the Elf, do not enter an area that is out of bounds, or enter a classroom without a teacher present.

Christmas Activities Today

Christmas Week continues today with Lunch Time Activities in the Main Hallway.

Come down to the main hallway for games and send a friend a free candy gram. The Candy Grams are to be sent to a friend in a 3rd period class. Please Identify the friend and the name of the 3rd period teacher. You need to know your friends third period teacher in order for the gram to be delivered. They will be delievered on Thursday.

Sr. Girls Volleyball

Please announce on Wednesday, Dec 21, 2016.

The Senior Girls Volleyball Team earned their second "dub" of the season last night against the Kennedy Clippers.  It was a true team effort with nearly the entire squad taking the floor at various points in the match.  Way to go ladies!  Practice tonight at 2:30 sharp.  Be prepared to work-work-work-work-work like Rhianna.

Christmas Talent Show

There is a mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in the theatre for all those students performing this Friday following the Christmas mass in the Gym. Please come to the meeting to make sure your name is on the performance list. Also, I'd like to see Matt Pellarin at the meeting at the meeting today as well. Christmas Week Activities

Merry Christmas Comets!

Christmas Week is upon us again and Student Council has a festive activities starting today with our Holiday Bake Sale during lunch.

Next week there will be activities during lunch including Toss the Elf, Minute to Win It, and Christmas Musical Chairs.

Coming back for another year is Elf on the CCH Shelf. Find the hidden elf during lunch to win a prize every day!

This year, each student will be able to send a friend or teacher a 'Note From the North". A free Candy Cane and card to a someone in 3rd period.

Also next week, students can accent their uniforms on Wednesday with a Christmas Theme, and Thursday will be our traditional Ugly Sweater Day.

Senior Girls Volleyball

Please announce on Friday Dec. 16.

The senior girls volleyball team racked up their first win of the season last night with a sweep of the Herman Green Griffins.  Your Lady Comets not only won the match, but they also managed to keep the Griffins to single digits in two of three games!  Congratulations ladies.  Practice resumes on Monday at 2:30 in the small gym.  Be ready to "bring it"

Volunteers needed



Volunteer Opportunities available:

1. City of Windsor Snow Angels  need your help ! This program matches you with seniors and those with physical disabilities who need help clearing sidewalks. It is a great way to earn community service hours. Registered volunteers can win an IPAD or a $ 50 REC Express Card. See your Guidance Counsellor for more information.

2.Our Lady Of Guadalupe Home is seeking volunteers to help. Volunteers will need to be mature and will have to be interviewed. They need help with babysitting and yard work. Please Ms. Slivocka for more information.

Science cafe- Dec 6, 2016

The Dean of Science from the University of Windsor will be at CCH today for an informal Science Cafe and discussion. Students are invited to the Guidance Office for 11:30 to ask questions and get information about science at the university. This is a great opportunity so if you have questions or concerns, please stop by.


Monday - Jazz band practice on Tuesday

For those students who signed up for Jazz band, there will be a practice on Tuesday in the music room at 2:30 pm.  

Oneida and Ojibwe classes

Oneida and Ojibwe classes will be offered in the city on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm. Classes will begin Tuesday, December 13, 2016 and are free of cost. Students and their families are welcome to register. Please see guidance for further information about how to register.

Any students in grade 9 through 12 interested in being a part of this year's cast for our spring dramatic arts production, please attend an information meeting TODAY at lunch in the theatre. Read Thursday- Sr. Girls Basketball All Stars!

Last night 3 of our CCH Lady Comets played in the WECSSA All Star Basketball game.  Bosana Said, Taya Butler and Susan Ding represented our school with class and outstanding athletic ability. These amazing young women were competitive contributors on the winning team. Susan Ding played like a champ on the court by stealing passes, making countless rebounds, providing beautiful assists, and scoring several points. Taya Butler received the MVP for our school team and Bosana Said was chosen MVP of the All Star Game.  Congratulations ladies!  You made your coaches and your CCH family very proud!  Special shout out to Coach Naccarato for receiving a coaching award.
